Ring Pessary With or Without Support

There are a few types of Ring Pessaries—those with and without support, and those with a knob for concomitant stress urinary incontinence. Ring pessary, available with or without a supporting membrane, is primarily used for mild first-degree uterine prolapse or a cystocele. These are generally chosen for earlier stage prolapse—stage I and II, but can be successful for all stages of POP. The ring is easy to insert by folding the ring in half and placing a small amount of lubricant on the tip of the pessary to aide in insertion. It is then placed into the vagina where it unfolds once above the pubic symphysis. For removal, the pessary is gently pulled and folded in half. A string can be attached to the ring to aid in insertion and removal. Patients can easily be taught to do this by themselves.

When I first ordered the Pessary, it did not tell me it was on back order. So when it did not come after I paid the $18 for it to come quickly, I called the company. The man I spoke to was very nice and courteous, but said it was on back order. I think they should refund the $18 because it did not come when they said. If the website would of said it was on back order at least I would have not expected it at that time. I did not have it for my Doctor's appointment.

The pessary is very good, I am very satisfied with the product. Thank you.
