Description

Vacurect Water-Based Personal Lubricant — 2 oz

SKU: 2OZ-LUB  |  By Vacurect

For Personal Use & Tension Ring Application  |  pH Balanced  |  Water-Based — Safe with Condoms & Latex  |  Non-Toxic & Oil-Free  |  Washes Off Easily  |  Not the Pump Silicone Oil  |  Non-Returnable Personal Item

This is the personal body lubricant — for use on the tension ring and on the body during VED therapy. It is not the same as the Vacurect Silicone Oil, which is a mechanical lubricant for the pump's O-rings only and is not appropriate for personal use.

Vacurect Water-Based Personal Lubricant is formulated for use with Vacurect vacuum erection device (VED) pump therapy and for general personal use. Applied to the tension ring and the head of the penis before VED therapy, the lubricant reduces friction during the pumping process — facilitating smooth entry of the penis into the vacuum tube, smooth movement during pumping, and smooth passage of the tension ring during the transfer step after the erection is achieved. Water-based formula is pH balanced to be compatible with mucosal tissue, non-toxic, oil and fat-free, and safe for use with latex and condoms. Washes off easily with water. 2 oz. Non-returnable personal item. By Vacurect.

Key Features

  • Reduces friction during VED therapy — applied to the tension ring and the head of the penis before the pump cylinder is placed; the lubricant allows the penis to move freely within the cylinder during pumping without friction against the cylinder walls, and allows the tension ring to slide off the cylinder and into position smoothly after the erection is achieved without catching or discomfort
  • Water-based formula — safe with latex and condoms — water-based lubricants do not degrade latex material the way oil-based lubricants do; safe for use with latex tension rings, the Encore Body Shield (natural rubber), and standard latex condoms; oil-based lubricants should not be used with latex products as they can cause structural degradation and increase failure risk
  • pH balanced for mucosal tissue compatibility — formulated to be compatible with the pH of genital mucosal tissue; reduces the risk of irritation, disruption of natural flora, or discomfort associated with pH-incompatible lubricants
  • Non-toxic and oil-free — no oils, fats, or compounds that cause skin irritation or that would be harmful if contacted with genital tissue; safe for direct personal use
  • Washes off easily with water — water-soluble formula rinses off completely with warm water without residue; no soap required for cleanup
  • Not tested on animals
  • Non-returnable personal item | 2 oz | By Vacurect

Clinical FAQs

How is the personal lubricant used during VED therapy, and when in the process should it be applied?

The personal lubricant is applied at the beginning of the VED session, before placing the vacuum cylinder. Apply a sufficient amount of lubricant to the tension ring — which is pre-loaded on the pump cylinder in the Vacurect's compact design — and to the head of the penis. The lubricant at the head of the penis ensures that the penis enters the cylinder smoothly without friction against the cylinder walls as it is pushed through the pre-loaded ring. A well-lubricated ring and penis also allow the tension ring to slide off the cylinder and transfer to the base of the penis cleanly and smoothly when the vacuum is released after the erection is achieved, without catching or pinching. Without adequate lubrication at this transfer step, the tension ring transfer can cause discomfort and disrupt the erection before it is secured. The lubricant may also be applied directly to the cylinder opening and outer tube to facilitate smooth pumping strokes. Use enough lubricant to create a smooth, low-friction surface — more is generally better than less for this application. The water-based formula washes off completely after the session with warm water.

Why use a water-based lubricant rather than an oil-based or silicone-based alternative?

The choice of lubricant base matters specifically because VED therapy typically involves latex components — the tension rings and the Encore Body Shield (if used) are made from natural rubber latex, and some tension ring sets include latex variants. Oil-based lubricants (petroleum jelly, coconut oil, mineral oil, or oil-based massage products) degrade latex by causing the polymer chains in the rubber to swell and weaken — a process that increases the risk of the tension ring tearing or losing its holding strength during use. For a tension ring, which must maintain its constricting pressure without tearing or slipping, this degradation is a functional safety concern: a compromised tension ring may release prematurely or fail under the mechanical stress of the constriction. Water-based lubricants do not interact with latex chemistry — they are safe for use with all latex products. Silicone-based lubricants are also latex-safe but can be more difficult to wash off, may leave residue on equipment, and are generally not recommended for use inside vacuum cylinder housings where residue buildup can affect pump performance. The Vacurect Water-Based Personal Lubricant is specifically formulated for VED pump use and is the appropriate choice for both body application and latex component compatibility.

What is the difference between this personal lubricant and the Vacurect Silicone Oil?

These are two completely different products for two completely different purposes, and they must not be confused or substituted for each other. The Vacurect Water-Based Personal Lubricant (this product) is a personal care product formulated for direct contact with genital skin and mucosal tissue — pH balanced, water-based, non-toxic, oil-free, and latex-safe. It is applied to the tension ring and the penis to reduce friction during therapy. The Vacurect Silicone Oil is a mechanical device lubricant — light silicone oil applied to the O-rings inside the pump's outer slide tube to maintain the vacuum seal. It is a mechanical maintenance product, not a body product, and is not formulated or appropriate for direct personal use. Using silicone pump oil as a personal lubricant is not appropriate — it is not pH balanced for mucosal tissue, it is not formulated for personal use, and it would also coat the latex tension ring with silicone oil residue. Conversely, using personal water-based lubricant on the pump O-rings will not adequately lubricate them because it is not the right viscosity or material for O-ring mechanical lubrication, and water-based products can promote moisture exposure in the pump housing. Use each product only for its designated purpose: personal lubricant on the body and tension rings, silicone oil on the pump O-rings.
